Park Service fee increase may be dead!

    The National Park Service’s plan to substantially increase entry fees at 17 of the most popular parks may be dead.  The plan would have increased entry fees to $70, effective this spring.

    The public comments were so negative that park officials pulled the plan from consideration and are exploring alternative ways to secure needed funding.  I’ll provide details as they become available.

    One of the parks that were to have been included was Grand Teton  (pictured above).
